Friends 4 Life

Ok, so I’ve been a little absent from the blog world, and it’s not really with good reason.

This past week, I have become incredibly, fully obsessed with the show Friends.  I mean, I’ve always loved it.  But Friday, I started watched from the pilot episode and can’t stop! Like can’t even stop to read a blog post let alone write one.  And now that classes have started, it’s going to be hard to make it through all 10 seasons, but with a little bit of determination, I think it’s possible! haha

Right now, I am half way through season 2.  And I am loving it.  And I am actually insanely jealous that I don’t have a group of exactly six friends who I can barge into their apartment at any time and just hang with them.  It makes me sad that I live by myself and all of my friends have graduated and left Ship!

I did have my first graduate class of the semester last night, though!! It definitely sounds like it has the potential to be an awesome class.  Basically, the class is to learn about and learn how to prepare students with disabilities to transition to adulthood.  Whether it is transitioning them to a job, post secondary schooling, or just living more independently, we will learn how to effectively program instruction throughout their years (starting at age 14) to help them be most successful in the “real world”.  Sorry to bore you all, but I am fairly excited about it Smile

Yes, that would be my book for class.  Does that make me a huge loser by being obsessed with class and learning? I honestly wish I could be a perpetual student!

Also, I think I may join the Master’s Swim team at the local YMCA.  I miss swimming so much, and I notice it more and more every day.  I really think I need to get involved with it!

That’s really all there is right now.  I know, lame right? My life seems to follow this pattern: wake up, work, work out, watch Friends, go to class, watch Friends, go to sleep.

Which means it is off to work for me to begin the whole thing over again, though today I don’t have class…which means more time for Friends!

Happy Tuesday!

Is anyone else as obsessed with learning as I am??

Summer Excitement

As you can probably tell, I’ve been having a great summer so far.  I’ve gone to Bethany Beach.  I’ve gone to Washington, D.C.  I’ve spent time with family and friends. And I am currently visiting family in Georgia.  I have other trips planned for the summer, but there are so many other things little things that I am totally excited about, too.

- Seeing Fun. in concert next weekend.  I am so pumped for this.  I saw them last summer, and I have also been addicted to Nate Ruess since his band The Format was introduced to me in about ninth grade. They just released their new music video this week:

- Jam on Walnut which is basically beer and bands to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and it takes place in Pittsburgh. It happens a few times throughout the summer, so if you’re in the area, you should DEFINITELY check it out!

- Seeing Dark Knight Rises in July. Did anyone else see Christian Bale adorably tearing up over Heath Ledger at the Movie Awards?  Ahhh I almost lost it.

- Taking my summer class and getting even CLOSER to completing my graduate program in December! Is anyone else a huge nerd and enjoy learning and school??

- Seeing Magic Mike just to stare at Channing Tatum and Matthew McConaughey.

- Getting back into swimming, running, AND biking shape! Which might be hard due to the pool hours this summer.  I tried to swim one day this week at the normal pool hours, but they were closed.  And all next week, the hours occur while I am working.  Looks like I’m taking an unplanned 2 week hiatus from the pool. Oops.

Oftentimes, I forget how much the little things make my life so much happier.  Do you have any exciting little things planned? The little things make the big things even greater!

I am also excited for one of you to win the PB Crave giveaway, which is still open until Monday Winking smile.

Poor Kitty :(

Thanks for all of your support on my weight loss goals! I am hoping to get my head in the game and take some of your suggestions as well! Smile

Well, we all know that little Geno has had a rough week with his neuter and all.

Little did he know that wouldn’t be the end of it!

Yesterday, I came home from work and working out at about 4 after having been away from home since the early morning.  I found it unusual that he wasn’t waiting at the door for me, and when I couldn’t find him anywhere, I went on a search.

As it turns out, he got trapped in our attic for approximately six hours without food, water, litter, etc. Our landlord came to show the house since our lease is up in May, and Geno must have snuck up there when they were showing it, but he never came back down!

Poor guy! He is also covered in black stuff from roaming around up there! He seems to be ok though.  His silly mommy wanted to cry started to cry for him! I get too attached to animals…

Today was scar free for the little man. I, on the other hand, had an intensely long day and can’t wait to catch up on sleep over the weekend.. Is it Friday yet???

I woke up at 6, worked until ten on campus, and then headed to sub in an Emotional Support classroom until 4.

After I got home, I went for a 40 minute run in which I was attacked by little, annoying gnats! EW! Definitely a good shower after that one!

And since my stomach was hurting, I dove into a veggie burger and pickles. Yum!

Then, I had 3 hour night class! Pfew. I am wiped out.  Time to hope into bed with some How I Met Your Mother episodes and hit the hay!

Do your animals make you cry when they are having a rough day? Or am I the only one that’s cray cray?

I know I have mentioned my obsession before, but is anyone else obsessed with How I Met Your Mother?

Looking forward to the weekend?
