Happy April Fool’s Day! Any tricks in store for you? Travis and I have to unfortunately head back to Salisbury today, which means we have 6 hours of driving in store.
Here’s a little bit about what Travis and I did since Wednesday.
First, we visited his family for a night in York. We didn’t do much other than just hang out, but we did get the cutest Easter basket ever, filled with some candy and gift cards, too!
On Thursday, we headed to my family in Pittsburgh. Most of Thursday and Friday was spent running wedding-related errands, but we also stopped by Elite Runners and Walkers because I had won a free shirt through fundraising efforts. Also, I am going back there today to get my gait and such analyzed. I didn’t have enough time on Friday but we are going to go before we drive back home today.
The store is also a bike store attached which is awesome. One stop triathlon shop.
On Saturday, we headed into North Park for the Just a Short Run series. My sister and Travis ran the 5k while I walked with my parents and some family friends. Not only did I have pains in my heels, but I also wasn’t feeling 100%. I spent the rest of the day laying on the couch eating soup with little to no voice and energy.
I was SO excited to see Allie before the race! And I watched her run past during her half marathon. I also chatted it up with her awesome mom and sister, and Jimmy, too! So excited to have finally gotten to meet her considering our families live pretty close!! Wish I was around more to hang out ![]()
Go, Allie, go!
Sunday, we got our shared Easter basket, and my sister, Travis and I picked out what we wanted. I will admit, I ate a LOT of candy this weekend.
My sister and I also got a picture in front of the same couch as the photo from yesterday, 21 years later! Yes, we still have the couch.
We spent Easter with my dad’s aunt, uncle, and cousins from Ohio. I love seeing my family since I never see them anymore!
I also got to see this adorable canine, Scout! She is HUGE! You may remember when I first met her. Definitely not that small anymore!
Minus the whole being sick thing, it was a pretty great time spent with family. Too bad I didn’t get to see many friends! Hoping to get home again soon ![]()
If you want more from me, head over to The Event Crashers to read a little about my wedding planning. There will be more wedding related posting soon!
Hope you all day a great holiday weekend! Anyone else not ready to have to get back into the swing of things?
