I am glad to know that so many of you enjoyed the motivation from yesterday’s post.
I really enjoy looking at things like that, and I was motivated for a pretty kick butt workout yesterday. It definitely helped break up the monotony of my day, which consisted of 13 hours on campus. I felt like an undergrad again!
Because my jobs can get pretty darn boring, I have come across some neat-o things through the interwebs.
First, one of the Newsies boys that I saw in New York is going to be on season 2 of Smash. This is amazing news. Jeremy Jordan is phenomenal. Look at this cute newsboy:
He will be joining the cast, but Dev’s, Ellis’, and Frank’s characters will be saying too-da-loo. I’m ok with Ellis leaving, but Dev and Frank? They are such good characters!! I feel like the story line is going to change significantly without them.
Another amazing finding that I keep forgetting to mention to you all: Pick-up Lines for Runners.
Here are some of my favorites:
- My love for you is like an ultra-marathon. It goes on and on.
- Your voice is so beautiful, you make fartleks sound appealing.
- Dang it! My coach told me not to get my heart rate over 160 today but then I saw you!

Ahhhh some people are so clever. This sort of reminds me of some of the swimming pick-up lines my teammates and I used to joke about. “I’ll show you my breast if you show me your fly” was always one of my favorites.
Lastly, I have been doing a little bit of research as to why BOTH of my hips just feel like they have so much pressure in them at all times. I looked at it a bit, and it could be caused by the amount of added weight I have put on lately. I think this could potentially boost my motivation to lose it. If losing the extra baggage makes my hips feel better, I’m all for it. We all know that 3 months of physical therapy and many of hours in the hydrotrack didn’t completely cure them! The story in this article sounds familiar…a women sidelined from exercising due to pain in her hips!

Uh oh… I hope fat cat’s hips are ok!!! ![]()
I am also concerned that the added weight around my hips is making me lose my memory. Sometimes, my research findings really intrigue me. This article states that obese women are more likely to experience memory problems, especially when the weight is located around the hips. This could be due to the type of fat located on the hips as compared to the waist. Interesting. Very, very interesting.
Phew, I am just filled with information this morning! Time to go to class, hopefully to keep the memory ball rolling.
Do you ever catch yourself researching really out-of-the-blue topics? Come across anything interesting lately?
What do you think about the changes to the Smash cast?
